Paula graduated from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Nurse Practitioner by
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Paula has a great
interest in building a personal connection with her patients. Paula is trained to assess
patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose illness and
disease, prescribe medication, and formulate treatment plans. Paula areas of interest
include but are not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, OCD,
substance misuse, and women’s mental health.
Having grown up in Wright City, OK, Paula appreciates being able to provide care to the
community she calls "home"; While not at the clinic, Paula enjoys riding Harleys with her
husband and spending time with her family...especially her 14 grandkids.
She is known for her warm, thoughtful, and deeply attentive approach to patient
care. She believes that effective psychiatric treatment begins with feeling heard,
understood, and respected.
Patients often describe Paula as easy to talk to, patient, and calming. She takes the
time to truly listen, ask careful questions, and understand the full context of a
person’s life, not just a list of symptoms. Appointments are unhurried and
collaborative, with a strong emphasis on building trust and making decisions
together.
Many patients come to Paula feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or frustrated by past experiences.
Her goal is to help patients feel grounded, informed, and supported as they move forward.
